The Appraisal Institute's mission statement is to advance professionalism and ethics, global standards, methodologies, and practices through the professional development of property economics worldwide. With 75 years of history, the Appraisal Institute continues to serve as the foremost membership organization for real property valuation professionals.

Established in 1991, the Mid-Michigan Chapter represents eight counties in the central region of the state of Michigan. The Appraisal Institute is the acknowledged worldwide leader in residential and commercial real estate appraisal education. Its extensive curriculum of courses and specialty seminars provides a well-rounded education in valuation methodology for both the novice and seasoned practitioner.
